บทคัดย่อโครงงานวิทยาศาสตร์
Due to the increasing number of vehicles, the ‘mountain’ of used tires has grown dramatically during the last decades. Every year, more than 1 billion scrap tires are disposed of around the globe. Utilization of used tires is challenging, therefore varieties of different recycling processes for tires have been investigated and developed throughout the years. One of the most promising way is using obtainable carbon black from burned used tires. In this study, crumb rubber from used truck tires is burned at certain temperatures producing remained a carbon black. The carbon black is then used to prepare carbon black filled natural rubber foam which is applied as water filter. The filter can attract and adsorb sediments, particles and unhealthy organic compounds, while allowing the rest of the minerals to remain in the water.
